booked a table for two people and turned up at the appointed time only to be told that they'd had a big group arrive so too bad for us
not what you need to hear, least of all on a saturday night at 8pm
most annoying, not to mention unprofessional, we had not been contacted beforehand, not evena complimentary drink. In fact the woman there was smiling when she broke the bad news.
I think it's disgusting that anywhere would do that to anyone that has booked in advance and i will never set foot in the place again - nor will my friends.

I went there last year with a couple of friends and thought it was great.
We sat on large comfy sofas and shared decent sized meze type platters, I felt like I was at home. It was slightly pricey but worth it for the atmosphere.

Oh dear, very poor. Food came cold, sent it back. They microwaved it, including the salad, and brought it back with a rather surly apology.
Staff don't seem to know what they're doing, not terribly friendly. Avoid.

I went in there the other night (24 Sept 06) to the restuarant on the first floor, and it was so quiet it was embarressing to sit there and talk normally to my date. I should have registered that no people: bad experience... and it wasn't great. There was no atmosphere because there were so few people there. Service not bad, but the food was almost send back quality, not a lot of variety either. I was so hungry I just ate it, but I guess I should have said something. You had to walk all the way back to the other side of the bar back on the ground floor to go to the loo. Won't get a second visit from us I'm afraid.

Greenwich residents have a new summer drinking haunt with the opening of The Greenwich Park Bar and Grill. Right by the gates of the historic park, in sight of the Cutty Sark and just round the corner from the theatre, The Greenwich Park Bar and Grill is prime location for enjoying those long summer nights (or long winter nights too). The venue consists of a spacious bar, bright but secluded patio courtyard is a perfect extension for summer days and the long balmy evenings. The first floor restaurant subtly reflects the tranquility of Greenwich Park itself. Hand-painted murals, turquoise-green colourways, pure white table linen all make for both a fresh and highly stylish venue for either lunch or dinner. The top floor boats an eye-catching lounge with an intimate feel with comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax in. It is ideal for pre-dinner cocktails (or coffee afterwards). From across the road, the famous statue of William IV looks on with an inscrutable gaze at TheGreenwich Park Bar. He had a very short reign as monarch, a period sure to be exceeded by the success of this exciting new enterprise. When William was on the throne, it is recorded that Halley?s comet came into view. Quite clearly, a new star has now appeared in the constellation of Greenwich bars and restaurants.
